Thats really awesome Sassy.... I'm going to dig out our metal detector and start digging moon craters in
our yard... Maybe I'll get lucky and find something besides old soda tabs....

Digging moon craters? No. lol. Haven't done that big of a hole. lol. And as for pull tabs, that is one thing I haven't found. I can't believe I haven't but none so far. A few months ago, I found my best find yet. No, not a diamond ring. But maybe one day. lol. But a porcelain sign advertising Riley Brothers Oil.
Best advice someone gave me when my children were teens. "Don't be their friend, be their parent. They have enough "friends" guiding them down the wrong path, be the parent and show them the right one."

Most of these posts are pretty old so I thought I'd see if there was still an interest here. I moved here a while back and have a nice detector. This town is just ripe for the pickin' for metal detector hobbyists. I enjoy all sorts of metal hunting but not much on looking for nickels and dimes around the Merry Go Round. I prefer antique and relic hunting.

If anyone is interested in getting together I know of many places in town we can go that are virgin sites.

I look forward to hearing from you.
